Shipping Charges and Policies
In United States (including Alaska and Hawaii): $8.75 flat rate charge per order. Packages will be sent by Fedex,UPS,priority mail or first-class mail at the company's discretion based on weight and value. All packages are insured. Premium services such as UPS next day or second day shipments will be billed at actual charges plus the $8.75 flat rate fee.
Now Offering Free Shipping on orders of $250 or more. Free standard shipping is eligible on all orders of $250.00 or more being shipped to addresses in the United States including Alaska and Hawaii. Shipping / Taxes do not count toward the $250.00 qualification. Item(s) must equal up to $250.00 or more. There will be no special code to receive the free shipping but you must select FREE SHIPPING as the shipping option during checkout.
Alaska and Hawaii: All packages will be sent by priority mail insured. Actual charges plus the $8.75 flat rate charge will be billed at time of shipment. We can also ship UPS next day and 2nd day service at additional charges.
Canada: Canadian Shipping is $31.95 and is subject to certain limitations described below. Method: All Canadian orders are shipped via United States Postal Service, International Flat Rate. We ship orders to almost all countries, as long as USPS currently ships there. The following countries USPS are not currently shipping to: Afghanistan, Guadeloupe, Reunion (Bourbon), Timor-Leste, Australia *, Laos, Saint Pierre and Miquelon (Miquelon), Turkmenistan, Bhutan, Libya, Samoa, Yemen, Brunei, Martinique, South Sudan, Cuba, Mayotte, Syria, French Guiana, Mongolia and Tajikistan.
BREXIT - Any orders after Jan 1, 2021, shipped directly to the UK or EU countries must now be over $200.00 US (not including shipping). This is due to the new BREXIT restrictions on all non-UK merchants.
Foreign (non-Canadian) Shipping is $46.99 and is subject to certain limitations described below.

Return Policy We, at The Berea Hardwoods Co. Inc., take great pride in the quality of our products. If you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, you may return it within 30 days of purchase for a full refund of the purchase price. To return a product, please call or email our Customer Service Department at 877-736-5487 or info@bereahardwoods.com to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and shipping instructions. Write the RMA number on the outside of the box or envelope. Ship the product back to us and we will process your return promptly. Do not return any item to us without authorization. Unless the product being returned is defective or is not the item you ordered, you are responsible for the shipping charges incurred when returning any product. All items accepted for return must include all original instructions and packaging. Pen and project components will not be accepted for return unless originally purchased as components. Items that have been abused or modified from their original condition may not be accepted. Once your return is received and inspected (usually within 48 hours of receipt), your refund will be processed and a credit will be automatically applied to your credit card or original method of payment within 7 days. Please note that depending on your credit card issuer or bank, it may take an additional 2-10 business days after your credit is applied for it to post to your account.
Please Note: Any items returned after 30 days from the original date of purchase, will be subject to a restocking fee. The maximum amount of any refund is the cost of the purchased item, including sales tax, if applicable, and excluding any shipping charges. If the returned items no longer qualified the original purchase for a quantity discount level or promotion, the quantity discount/promotions will be reset and any difference will be subtracted from the refund. Refunds will be in the same form that was used for the original payment. In most cases, refunds for returns or any shortages will be issued within 30 days (or usually less) of the return being received. If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect shipping address provided by a customer, or due to a failure to clear customs, the customer will be responsible for any additional shipping costs or the return shipping cost as well redelivery cost. We apologize but we can not be responsible for packages delivered incorrectly or returned due to incorrect shipping information or failure to clear or pay customs fees or VAT. The post office and couriers do not refund delivery charges for wrong addresses or for customs issues, so please check your ship-to address and contact info carefully. We are sorry, but unless there are major manufacturing flaws refunds will not be issued for blanks or any other items that have been opened, used, turned, cut, drilled, or otherwise altered. Refunds can not be issued for blanks that "blow out" in turning. Special order items (in size, color, design or quantity), are considered custom and specialty and are therefore non-returnable. Special order items will need to be paid in advance.

Great kit that was easy to put together. I like that the threaded portion was a separate insert and that you can purchase extra tubes or cut tubes from generic stock. The only thing to get 5 stars was if it had a clip.

Great looking pen. Easy to make with only a single tube to turn. You could make two pens at once on the mandrel.

This kit has one of the longest tubes I have come across. It's great for showcasing a large section of a beautiful blank. The click mechanism is high quality. My only complaint is that the nib connector (not the nib itself) can be completely seated into the tube by hand. It can be removed with a little effort, which concerns me. I fear it coming loose with time and usage. I emailed Berea about the issue and they suggested using loctite to hold it in place. I hope the manufacturer of the components fixes the issue. A part designed to be pressed into place shouldn't be able to be done with finger pressure alone. Fix the issue and this would have been given a 5 start rating.

I have made several of these pens. For shows, I put a premium refill in and let people compare the look, feel and writing experience with my similar Mont Blanc. Most prefer the Euro, and there is no haggling over price! I rated 4 stars because it is more difficult to make than other designs, but look is superior and it is one of the slimmer Parker style kits.

Pill case is thin, will need care in use. Suggest turning concave disc to allow clearance for epoxy gluing in place

This pill case is a little thin, as price suggests, will need handling with care. Suggest turning thin disc with concave (inward clearance ) for the epoxy I used to glue the disc in place.

I purchased this because I wanted a matched pen and pencil set. The kit is just as easy to turn as a Sierra Pen goes to gather easily and looks great. Glad I purchased it. I very rarely give 5 stars. This is as close as I've come to hitting the 5 star rating in over 5 years of reviewing products.
This will be on my watch list and frequency ordered.

Superior kit. I appreciated the very excellent directions. The appointment at the end of the cap, the death's head, made me wonder if they could do a chrome end piece that could accept large initials.

Like it's cousin, the whistle key ring, these are one of my best sellers. They are extremely easy to make and sell almost instantly. If you are selling, the simple designs...straight, slight taper, slight "football" shape...sell just as well as fancy beading.The only reason for the 4 star rating instead of a 5 is that my last 100+ kits have had a sloppy fit that required epoxying of both ends. If you are building in quantity, you will seriously increase your production time, not to mention the mess caused by epoxy sometimes getting on the finish. Both gold and chrome, mainly the chrome, were so loose that they could be pushed together with gentle finger pressure. This was definitely NOT the case the first 2+ years I built these.

The all chrome kit is an attractive stopper. The only complaint I have had from customers is that the stopper did not fit some of their bottles (the reason for only 4 stars). I changed out bottom O-rings for a smaller thickness and they were happy.Hint...a bit of wax applied to the screw mandrel will help keep the blank from sticking on the mandrel while you turn.

I am from New Zealand. I've made and sold many of these little beauties. They are great for using up the remnants of pen blanks and take only a couple of minutes to turn. I sell them at market for NZ$8 and they are a steady seller. Many people have $10 in their pocket when they will not always have enough for a pen. Often little girls buy them. Recommended as a worthwhile addition to your inventory.

Great pen, beautiful! Good quality kit and it writes nice. I matched a Titanium Gold and Stirling Silver with Big Leaf Maple and it is an outstanding pen. Everyone that's seen it just raves about it. The only reason for 4 stars is the instructions are confusing. They are combined for the Fountain and Roller both and as I said, confusing.
