If you really want to impress someone with a beautiful knife, this is the best and easiest one to use. You only need to make the side pieces for the handle. I’m on #3 and get lots of compliments on them!

I purchased this because I wanted a matched pen and pencil set. The kit is just as easy to turn as a Sierra Pen goes to gather easily and looks great. Glad I purchased it. I very rarely give 5 stars. This is as close as I've come to hitting the 5 star rating in over 5 years of reviewing products. This will be on my watch list and frequency ordered.

I purchased the smaller one for starters. I was very surprised. Shipping was very fast and the goodies inside were fantastic. I saved over 25 dollars off catalog price and got 4 really nice pen kits, bushings, blanks.

I'm new to pen turning and have had subscription box's for flytying and they were ok but not great value. I was very pleased with my first box. 4 pens total with bushings and 1 blank. Well worth the price I paid. I priced out the stuff to them in the catalog and saved over $25.

This is a great looking pen that fire fighters love. Makes a great looking pen when dressed with a proper blank. They don't last long in my shop.

Tried it today on a segmented multiwood homemade pen blank. It worked better than my older carbide bladed trimmer. Very nice

I found that this bit does not work well with acrylics, the bit does not clear the drilled acrylic pieces quickly and the bit jams up in the piece being drilled. One piece actually split in half lengthwise. Also I don’t appreciate that they label their bits “J” ( in this case ) whereas it is a 7mm bit. This is done to drive up sales and make you buy what you think is a special bit for the item you are making.

Very easy to make and is an appropriate gift for one who has lost a loved one

This blank has a great mix of pink and purple with some gold (mine had more pink overall). There is also a sort of glitter mixed throughout to give more of a sparkle. It went perfectly with my Sierra Spectrum Grip pen, everyone loves the way it looks. If you want these colors, this blank is highly recommended.

This tool is great. No sharpening, just pick it up and use it.

This is one of my favorite pens to make and sell. It is a great balance between slimline (small) and larger pens. I also appreciate the convertible aspect of making one writing instrument that can be a pen or pencil.
